Celebrating local sportswomen

The world celebrated International Women’s Day on Thursday recognising the outstanding contributions women have made in every aspect of life even when the odds are stacked against them structurally and culturally in some cases.

In T&T women athletes have represented their respective sporting disciplines with great honour and pride. In commemoration of International Women’s Day recognition is purveyed to some of the many outstanding women sports personalities of today and yesteryear (space does not permit for all names).
